Stewardess sues BA after injury at work

An air hostess is suing her employer, British Airways, after she was hit on the head by a falling ice canister while at work, reports the London Evening Standard.

The 41-year old was fetching a drink for a passenger from the rear galley of the plane when the incident took place in 2008. The injury to her head left her with neurological damage, and she has been unable to return to work.

Mrs Ormiston-White claims that BA were negligent in not ensuring that the ice canister was secured safely. She is claiming between £100,000 and £300,000 in compensation.
